How much mg of niacin?

How many milligrams (mg) of niacin should a duck have in a 50 pound of feed.
The correct ratio for average ducks is 55mg/kg. That's 55 mg for every 2.2 pounds of feed.

If my math is correct, that would be 1,265 mg niacin in 50 pounds of feed.. 50#/2.2kg= 22.73kg ... So 23kg X 55mg= 1265 mg per 50# of feed.. kg being rounded to its closest digit. Please verify by doing your own math.

For jumbo Pekin it's closer to 70mg/kg.

Every feed has some niacin in it, but is not usually listed on the guaranteed analysis since it is not required by law.

I used Purina flock raiser to raise my ducklings. Species and appropriate ages are included on the feed instructions. But I needed to be sure. I had to call them to get the complete analysis which did and at that time include 55mg/kg.

Here is a nice detailed link about nutrient requirements of waterfowl at different stages of life/reproduction (also most likely in a thremo neutral environment)..
