How much money do YOU make selling your quail eggs?

My prices depend on the color variety. Some color varieties are hard to comeby and produce and I constantly am working on improving them. People buy off my website a lot and egg sales do pay for feed and new stock. I now have to work on sustaining myself a little more. But all in all, I have faith it will be worth it at the end

I live close to Gainesville and just started my quail, I also have Chickens and Ducks. Where can I get this cheaper feed Heather? Also how do I get a license or permit to sell my eggs, if one is needed?

Hello!
I got into quail another home grown meat source that I could have. My plan for meat is hatching around 40-50 eggs every other week. I have 4 grow out pens. 1-2 weeks, 2-4 weeks, 4-6 weeks and then a 6-8 eat/sell pen. these usually only last till the 7 week mark before I freeze what I want and sell the rest. This part of the plan is working perfectly.I have 24 hens but I never planned on have SO many extra eggs! I eat a ton, and have been selling them at the farmers market for 3.50 a 10 pk and 6.00 for 2 10 pk's. I buy feed for 17$ a bag, for the 24% (highest protein I can find and cheapest price, not great, but what can I do) I Mostly cover feed bills with egg sales, but not always. People down here have no idea what to do with them either! I have a booth at the farmers market where I take a few roos for show and tell( in a cute old bird cage) and have a few frames with quail facts, egg facts, and nutrition info. Helps a bit, and having the birds there attracts allot more people.

If you want to make money in the quail market, your not going to be able to make much with coturnix, bobwhites, etc. (unless you go extremely large scale) Theres just way to many breeders of these breeds -- so High supply, low demand, Mearns Quail, Mountain Quail, and Benson Quail are where the money is at for small scale operations in my opinion.-- Low supply, really high demand

Hi. Do you have any babies for sale now?

I am a mechanical engineering student at the University on Florida. I would really appreciate your feed source to cut my bill. I go through 150-200 lbs of feed per week and at that price my feed bill would be cut quite a bit. My email is [email protected] or my school email is [email protected]
Thanks, Jeff
