how much run space?

I have 10 chickens and am building a run that they will be in almost all the time, how many feet would it need to be? I can't find a strait answer for how many feet 10sq would be? also maybe room to expand as my coop is an 8 X 10 (NOT BUILT YET)

At minimum you'd need 100 sq ft (10'x10'). If at all possible, build larger than that. Minimum requirement isn't much space at all and if your chickens are in there full time, they'll appreciate more room.

I have 10x40 feet for 20 birds , it feels crowded to be honest . But I have lots of logs and feeders everywhere

The biggest you can afford to build I’d say . We started with 20x40 and divided it in half down the middle .

These pictures don’t help much but you can see it’s crowded or maybe they’re just all crowded around me

10x10 is the min recommend. If you have the room, and they're going to be in it full time you may consider doubling. The more room the happier they'll be. Also consider including some type of activity stimulus. A chicken "play ground" so to speak. The more they have to avoid boredom, the less they'll find to fight about.
