how much sand for this run?

Hubby and I are almost done building a coop with an attached covered run. We'd like to put sand in the run for easier clean-up, but how much should we get? The run is 6x12. We'll have to buy the sand in 60# sacks, as we don't have a truck or a trailer. Thanks in advance!

It appears that it would take 2 yards of sand to cover this area three inches deep. I would find a friend with a truck or trailer or rent one. Sixty pound bags would amount to 56 in order to approach this number. For the cost of the bags, you could probably have it delivered and save money.
