How much space do I need.

We are tinking of getting a goat but we don't know how much room they need to roam or graze.

You will regret getting just 1 goat. They are herd animals and get very lonely. All you will hear is 1 lonely goat crying out. As far as space goes the bigger the better. Depends on what kind of goats you want.

Yup - you need two goats as they are very social animals.

What type are you thinking of getting? The larger breeds obviously need much more space than the smaller breeds (pygmy, fainters, Nigis).

I have no idea, it's just a dream for now. We have almost an acre. I'm just wondering if we could even do it. I love the idea of organic milk and yogurt, with out the price of $9/gallon.
