How much space does one adult golden giant quail need?

Just wondering how much space does one quail need. Do they need more feeder space the more quails you get and do you need more drinkers. What is the smallest group you can get? They are social animals?

As much space as you can afford! Large birds need at least 4 square feet per bird. If you only have a few birds, then one feed and water station is enough. If you are talking 8 or more birds, you might add another feeder and waterer. If they have to compete, birds will go hungry or dehydrate. Dehydration is one of the big causes of egg binding in caged quail along with not enough calcium.
