How much space?

I've gotten in over my head on hatching chicks. So I'm running out of pens. I was planning on getting rid of some but now thinking bout keeping em. So my ? Is how much pen space do 6-8 standard chickens need? They aren't able to free range bc of dogs and other reasons.

Coop space is 4 sq ft per LF bird, 8 chickens times 4 square feet is 32 square feet. Like an 8x4 coop.

Run size is 10 sq ft per LF bird, 8 chickens times 10 square feet is 80 square feet. Like 8 x 10 run.

Easy peasy calculations.

Ok. Great. So I could make 10x10 and put 8 birds and they'll be ok. I didn't want to overcrowd em.
