How much time after pip

Hi people of BYC! I wanted to ask you all that one of my egg is on day 20 and it has pip but it has been 16 hours and i can see the beak of the chick move but it is not trying to break the shell should i help it or anything that i can do. Thank you!

Not at this stage. Your chick is still absorbing the remains of the yolk which is very important. It can take up to 24 hours from that external pip for the chick to start to unzip from the egg and the unzipping can take between 15 minutes and an hour for that stage to happen, so it's relatively quick compared to the rest of the hatching process.
