how much to feed a broiler

ok so we will be getting more cornishX this summer
I'm just wondering if anyone has an idea of how much you should be feeding them
last summer they had free choice and it felt like we were just wasting feed. no matter how much we fed them it was all gone in an hour

I always project 20 lbs/bird. It is usually less than that on average, but it is a safe amount for planning costs purposes.
