I’ve got a 8 laying hens and 4 roosters all about 18-19 weeks old. Will be cooking a few roosters soon and adding some hens down the road, but I’m wondering how much to feed my current flock. They spend the night in an 8x10 converted shed and have the run of 4 acres during the day. But I feel like I’m running through sacks of laying pellets too quick. Can somebody tell me a measurable amount of pellets I should put out each day? Not currently feeding any scratch but will do so if need be. Thanks.

You should always offer a ration free choice. Rodents and wild birds may be eating your feed if it's going fast.

Also young growing birds eat more than adults. I personally keep mine on a higher protein ration, especially when still young. Are yours already laying?
X2 feed free choice

I’m actually feeding Nutrena Poultry Feed. It says “complete feed, no need to supplement”. But I guess I really don’t know what it is. I just asked for laying pellets at the feed store and this is what I got. No they are not laying, but should be any day.
