How much to feed?

OK, clearly a newbie question...

How much food do I feed the chickens? Do I feed all they can eat? About how much will that be? When old enough I'll have them in a chicken tractor with it always on fresh grass. I'm expecting my 6 chicks in less than 2 weeks. I'm sure the answer is somewhere on the site, but I haven't found it yet.

Let them have food 24/7. They will only eat as much as they need to grow and stay warm. Enjoy your birds and welcome to the board!

I keep feed in front of them 24/7, chicks and adults. They eat just what they need.

Let them feed free choice. No need to restrict feed unless you raise meat crosses. Adults typically will go through 1/4 pound of feed a day. Less if the have prime outdoor forage and more in the winter.
