how much to they sleep?

Ok, this is seriously a newbie question, but how much time do new chicks spend sleeping?
Mine are eating, drinking, pooping and chasing each other, but they seem to sleep a lot. Not all bunched up like they're cold, but still....

They sleep alot for the first couple weeks...they just fall over to take a snooze...they are just like any other baby animal sleeping...very normal

They sleep a heck of a lot, and have a tendancy to just suddenly collapse when they're tired...one minute they're running about and the next they're sprawled out on the floor looking like they're dead. Scared me the first few times i saw them sleeping like that

I woke mine up the first couple of days becasue I was so worried about the way they were sleeping.. I thought they were weak and "fainting".. poor babies were just saying "I'm tired, PLEASE leave me alone!!"

kinda like babies, when we wander in to see if they are still breathing! Problem is, that was 25 years ago!
