We are getting cornish super giant cockerels this summer. How much will they weigh when processed. Just looking for some sort of estimate or range to go on.
Been searching and I must not be putting in very good search words since I have yet to find anything.
Thanks!

Going to depend on how long you keep them around, could be anywhere from 1.5 lb to over 10lb.

5lb dressed in 50 days middle of the road, but so much depends on the specific genetics of the batch, what you feed them how long food is in front of them and the enviromental conditions.

the average time to process the CX is at 8 weeks - hens will weigh less than the roos, but weights will average 4.5 up to 7.5 or so pounds. the longer you feed them the more they will weigh, but they get pretty unstable and take more care the longer you let them go. normally 12 weeks is a long time for a CX to live healthily. some people do keep them longer, but not necessarily for good meat.

this is just what i have found out over the years.

Good Luck!
