I make breakfast off my chickens, and the occasional supper, I sell eggs, and the money from the eggs goes back into the chickens, either meat birds or layers, and of course feeding them, I get all the eggs we can eat, and of course meat from the meat birds. I just sold 15 birds at $15 each, they cost me $6 each to raise, not a living, but it paid my grocery bill for the week, and now I don't need to buy meat either.
