How much would this chicken dinner cost in a restaurant?

That looks absolutely wonderful!! My kinda meal..add some long grain & wild rice, a fresh sliced tomato, a glass of cold sweet white wine and that would be as close to perfect a meal as possible! Good job Chef Oblio

Oh, man that looks Gooooo-ooood!. I'm envious Oblio. I hunt wild mushrooms, and I can testify that you chose a nice combination to go with the BCM.

Now I'm hungry.

So are you a mycophile as well? Your pic made me hungry even after I had a dish of salmon and pasta for lunch!

I found these oysters on the side of the road on the way home from the beach a couple of months ago.

You just motivated me to get off the computer and go for a walk in the woods. I'll report back later -

Holy S%@$! Nice find!!! I went out this am, but the kids were not down with my mushroom hunting plans. All three of them scattered in different directions. Oh well- happy foraging!!! Hope you have better luck than I...

Would you post a pic of the shrooms before they were sauteed? I'd like to see what kind of "puff ball" you are eating, if you don't mind

SCORE! Sulphur Shelf, 14 inches across. Just had some for dinner. Also found lots more Chanterelles and Black Trumpets.

All kinds of different puffballs are edible, "purple-spored", "giant", "pear-shaped", etc. There are online field guides, just do a Google search. As long as they're pure white inside, they're one of the best edibles.
