How much would you pay for an Easter Egger hen?

Thanks guys! Ok, I'm going for $10 each or 3 for $25.

$10 was my first thought and after reading all of the opinions I think that's fair enough. The eggs they were hatched from were decently colored--all on the blue end of that blueish-green--and they are all nice healthy girls. They'll make great laying hens for someone. I also have one I suspect is a roo...if I confirm that it is a rooster, he's going to be free! But that's a topic I need to post in another thread...

I'm in Maryland. I was going to try to sell them locally before I put an ad on the Buy/Sell forum here on BYC (I just thought that would be easier; I'm not going to ship them and I'm kind of in the middle of nowhere) but if anyone is in the area and interested by all means feel free to PM me. I only have 3 (plus the suspect roo, so perhaps 4) that I am selling. I'm keeping the others for my own laying flock.

10 sounds very reasonable. I'd buy one at that price. You may be able to get away with $15 if they lay colored eggs.

I just bought 2 Easter Egger 1 yr old hens for $10 each. I think the green/blue egg laying really adds a couple of dollars to the purchase value.

Should add that I bought them direct from an organic farm in central NJ.

Can I ask what farm you bought the chickens at?
