do you pay for your meat birds? I went to a local feed store today and they wanted 2.25 each. Is that too much?

Considering they pay the shipping from the hatchery, no. I paid 1.94 plus shipping from McMurray. I'm sure there are cheaper places, but that is in the ball park.

Depends on how many you buy. If your only buying a few than yes. However you can get them a lot cheaper if you buy 25 of them at a time.

I think our local TSC is $1.99 / CX chick.

I think I can order them for $1.45 with a minimum order of 6 through my local feed store. If I don't order ahead of time, they're $2.00 (and there is no guarantee that there will be any available).

I bought some when i was at an auction and only paid $2.25 each. Which for me would have been cheaper than ordering them and paying shipping.

Our Rural King in McKenzie, TN had them last week 2 for 79 cents. AND I DON'T HAVE ROOM FOR ANY MORE!!! Kind of hurt, cause I ordered from McMurray and paid around 1.60 each for the ones I have.
