Hey there,
I have a 4 month old dark brahma rooster, he hasn't crowed yet but I'm wondering if anyone with experience can tell me how much noise they make. I've read they are on the quieter side. He's also the last bird to the flock and while he's bigger than most of the hens, they still pick on him. I tried moving him into the hen house and woke up the other night to what I thought was a predator getting into our coop. As it turns out, it was just our smallest hen lighting him up. I'm wondering if he'll rise up from the bottom once he reaches maturity? Could his lowly status keep him from breeding with and protecting the girls, and making a lot of noise?
