There's nothing quite as pathetic as a love sick rooster! wink

Reminds me one year there was a lovesick wild male pheasant running around our driveway and nearby horse pasture. He was out there calling and showing off all day for practically a month without finding a mate. It was really sad. I don't know what was wrong with him that he didn't go look where some female pheasant actually resided instead of our driveway. I'm surprised he didn't get eaten but he must have hid out well at night.​

That is exactly what he does. He tells them about the treats, offers them none, waits for an opportune moment and grabs and chases one while she screeches. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. He does try the drop wing boogie. The best part is when he is successful he is so proud of himself.
