I sold my Rouen ducks tonight to a lady from Craig's List. She showed up with just a box the size paper comes in. No lid, just the box. She said her husband sent her to pick up two little ducks. LOL

I had posted pictures of these ducks on my CL ad, so HE knew how big they were. One drake, One hen, fully grown. She paid me the money, and put the ducks in the back seat of her car. Loose in the backseat!

These ducks are used to an unheated hen house. I can just imagine what they will be doing when that car heater gets warmed up! She said she only had a 30 minute drive.

Oh brother!!!

so putting the goats in the back seat probably wasn't normal either...that might have explained why we were getting those looks...

I picked up a couple of Welsummers at the Stockton Poultry show a couple weekends ago. Thought they'd already be in a box (since they were being transported down from Sonoma) but they weren't. They got to ride home in my trunk.

LOL That's funny. I have Rouen ducks so I know the size.. there's no way he couldn't have known how big they were.. I guess he didn't care.. he wasn't the one picking them up! hahaha. Poor lady.

oh yes a cardboard box soon becomes like porridge with even 1 duck in it lol i too would love to see THAT trip home!!!!!
