How often do Dorking hens go broody?

We have several almost six month old hens and two roos, these are our first Dorkings. Does anyone know how often the hens go broody? Were hoping for baby chicks by next spring. Thanks in advance for all your help!

as far as i know (i don't have any dorkings) they are good brooders/mothers
