I have a few that do this. They use me as a launchpad to get to some higher obstacle whenever they get the chance. It can be a little unsettling if you're not expecting it though.

The funny thing is he didn't use me to try to get higher but he flew to me from the ramp to the coop door and flew into the coop inches from the ramp, from my shoulder
