How often do Silkies go broody?

Nice large Silkies.

No, mine are definitely the bantam size. I've actually never seen a LF size in my area.

I also have hawk troubles. Bantam Silkies on my property, in free range, are simply hawk snacks as they waddle rather than run.

I have hawk, raccoon and possum trouble. Also found a large black snake in a nest box a few weeks ago. Started spraying white vinegar around nest boxes, roost and outer walls of coop. So far so good...
