how often do they lay

so one of my hens started to lay last thurs. and i was wondering how often do ee 's lay an egg? she has layed a total of 3 one today and one yesterday and one last thursday. do ee's lay everyday? or was the one today just a bonus? she is 24 weeks this week.

I"m a bit fuzzy remembering the "exact" average ( talk about contradiction in terms) of "every x hours" that hens typically lay, but it's "about" one per day when they are in their first laying season. Since she's just started, she'll lay erratically for now, but then settle into a schedule of about 1 daily. It's actually every 28-ish hours, but I can't get my brain to remember right now.

I think I read somewhere that it takes a hen 30ish hours to make an egg.. on the average my EE gives me 5-6 eggs a week and we are just dandy!

My EE lays around 5-6 eggs also a week also.
