how often do you detach and clean out your dryer vent hose?

my mom saw a few pine flakes in the screen part after i did my clothes so she’s worried and wants me to clean it more often. The pine flakes and straw are sometimes in my pockets or rolled up in my pants cuffs. Maybe I forgot to shake them out. I think manufactures recommend once a year, but I doubt hardly anyone actually does that so let’s see

Never, except the one time the kids' hamster got in there somehow. It was full of lint when we got it out, but was okay. That was decades ago though.
