How often should I clean the coop?

I scrape my coops almost everyday and then do a major cleaning such as washing everything down 2 times a year. Just got done doing the spring cleaning.

Now that the weather is a bit warmer (5 inches of snow expected today though. gross!) and my girls are outside a lot more, I find I can slack a bit on the clean up. I still scrape poopboards every 3 days or so. I have 10 birds in the coop.

Thanks for the posting about DE. Did a little research and found two places locally that sell it. One sells a 4 (four) pound bag for over $20!!! The other feed store sells a 40 (forty) pound back for $17.95 and it's food grade - Red Earth Lake. I called the manufacturer and the confirmed it's food grade for animals. They can't say food grade for humans since they've done no testing on humans. Glad to know I can find it local! Thanks again!
