Ok, so I raised goslings in the past and everything was totally fine (and thus far the chickens are about a million times cleaner) but for some reason, now that I have chickens, everyone I know is terrified I'm going to get bird flu from them.
I wash my hands before and after I handle them, that way no one is spreading germs to anyone, but this doesn't seem to be enough to put my family's mind at ease. I can't find any threads or articles already explaining this and I'd really like to know if I'm doing this correctly. If I am, could you give me some advice on what to tell my family to put them at ease?
