Yes, same bird. I seem to have a lot of questions on this one.Yes, they do.... have tested this on molting birds.
Same bird as here?:
She may not lay again this fall, may molt instead.
I realize it is hard to answer them but I love to speculate my others are young and I have raised them so this is my first with a questionable past.
She is beautiful and will be allowed to retire and live out her days whether she lays again or not.
I greatly appreciate everyone's input. This is the best way to learn.
