How old and gender please

Zoe.doll44In the Brooder Hi how old do my new baby chicks look. The girl said 20 weeks but they are very small. The are pekin bantem frizzles. The buff pekin is not mama she is our 1 year old. She had babies but they were all boys so we had to give them away. They were as big as she is at 14 weeks and very obvious boys. Did she sell me cockerals and lie about their age?????

Frizzles to me are hard to tell unless you’ve had them since they were young. I will say that my frizzle looks much smaller than my non frizzles of the same breed, gender and age.

I would say pullets... Pekins seem to mature young.

In the last picture they look very young, 10-12 weeks which would make them roosters. Your first picture by themselves makes them look older. Age is definitely a factor in sexing them. Most bantam Cochin pullets don't get a red comb until they are about to lay at around 5-6 months of age and I don't think yours are that old by the size. I believe you have roosters.

Fighting sounds like boys contact the seller... THEY NEED TO MAKE THIS RIGHT! Sorry, it hard to tell the gender of unknown age frizzle cochins...
