**How old are chicks when they can fly?

How old are chicks when they can fly? I'm talking like over the fence or into a tree kind of fly. I've raised guineas but I don't remember when they first started flying either.

my 6 weeks olds can fly over the 4 foot fence. Good enough feathers, big enough wings, not too much heft.

Thats what I would have guessed. They'll live in the chicken tractor unless I'm in the yard with them. I really don't want to clip their wings; what do y'all do?
