How old are my chicks?

My husband picked up some chicks today as a surprise. I just wanted to know how old you think they might be? He forgot to ask how old they were when he bought them. And yes, I am aware that there is a duck in the picture, I haven't been bamboozled into thinking it's a chicken, lol.

I'm so excited! And terrified of killing them. We were planning on buying laying hens but we wanted "tame" chickens so he went ahead and bought us some chicks to raise by hand. Anyway, anyone have a guess? I called the place he got them from and they said "a couple weeks"...I'm not sure he knew what he was talking about, though. What do you think?

A bit less than one week is my guess. Mine are two weeks and have lots of wing and tail feathers.

mine are 8 days old and some have more feathers than that but some less. I would say right around a week cuties!!

They appear to be a production red layer of some sort.

Any guesses on breed of the chicks? Two look like red layers, the others I am not sure. How about the duck?
