Good morning all!

I've recently acquired a pair of young pekins. They appear to be just about full grown (they're big!) but they still have some duckling down on the backs of their heads and necks. I've tried searching age according to stage of plumage but all the information I'm reading is quite vague and there really isn't a whole lot of info on pekins on the net to begin with. My guess is 3 - 6 weeks but I'd like to narrow it down a bit. Thank you!

If you can post pictures, we can probably tell you with a fair degree of accuracy. I would guess, based on your description, that they are toward the higher end of that range, more like five to six weeks rather than 3 or 4. But it's hard to tell without pictures. Also, diet and environment can affect growth rates profoundly, so you may never know for sure.
