How old are Rouen drakes when their tail feathers curl? More answers?

I have a drake and im just wondering when his tain feathers will curl? He is 9 or 10 weeks old.

Two pekin drakes of mine are now about 11-12 weeks old. One has had curled tail for a couple of weeks the other no curls but no quak even under duress. I have 4 pekins two one loud qucking female and one large tail curled drake are really identifiable sexually. The other two are indistinquishable until I handle them, the female will then quck and honk, the male is a whisper.

He is a Rouen and has his female feathers right now but i know he is a he because he sounds like he has a serious case of laringitis or strep throat. He is not the biggest of my ducks but the others are all "honking" ducks so i know they're all hens. i was just wondering why he doesnt have a curl yet. BTW, anyone interested, i now know how to tell the difference VISUALLY in male and female rouen when the male has female feathers. ok, past the wing feathers, down to the tail (the top of his rump) will be VERY dark brown feathers that are not very well defined in pattern. I thought it was just a flaw, but i now have 2 like that. Also, both makes have a greenish bill instead of kahki bill like the female. so if you cant hear it and he doesnt have the curl, this might help.

My mallards always curled first, around 15 weeks,, but my Runners were always around 21 or 22 weeks. I'm waiting on three babies right now to "show their feathers!"

i think my rouen is like ten weeks and he has one little feather like when he was a little duckling and it is curled and my female her feathers around her head are becoming light tanish brow and is starting to get taler than him i cant beleave how much they have grown and changed so cutie
