How old are they when....

Okay so I need to know, how old they are they start to lay. I have 2 Pekins and they are only a few months old but my curiosity is killing me....PLEASE TELLLLL ME!

From what I've read it's 16-18 weeks befor they lay eggs.

are duck eggs good to eat? scrambled?

Duck eggs are delicous, but actually taste better scrambled if you have 1/2 chicken eggs and 1/2 ducks eggs. Duck eggs are much lower in water content so cook a LOT faster and have a stiffer consistency.

My pekins hatched between Oct 27 and Oct 31 of last year and they started laying mid april of this year...so about 5 1/2 months-6 months?
