How old are they

I will guess 10 days old. It is also pretty difficult to see with the RED light.

I agree with @cavemanrich. I think they are around 7-10 days old. You can get better photos if you take them out of the brooder temporarily, it won't hurt them!

Ahhh.....don't sweat it.
Many of us feed a starter or 'all flock' type feed their entire lives.

To really simplify things, switch to layer (if you want) when they start laying eggs.
