How old before chicken coop ?

I have Golden Comets and Buff Orphs how old are they supposed to be before i can put them in the coop?

Depends on how cold it is where you are - I think at 6 weeks they are fully feathered, or is it 4? I waited til mine were six

I usually wait until all their feathers come in before I let them stay in the run permanently.

Our gals are now 13 months old and we put them into their coop at 6 weeks. We had a heat light until they were 8 wks and by then the weather was nice. Best of luck to you.

Mine have just gone in this week at 7 weeks old. 5 of them have joined the big girls and rooster without any upset at all. I have put 4 in a dog cage in the run because 2 of them are bantam Cochins and I want them to grow bigger before meeting the grown-ups. I left 2 "friends" with the cochins so that they would all stay warmer at night (they have a covered cat litter box as a roost).
