I'm in 4H, and wondering what is the youngest acceptable age to show cockerals and pullets? Is 2 months old to earlier to show?
Thanks

Two months is too young. You generally want them to be mature birds. You can enter young birds, but don't expect them to do very well.

They need to be 3 months. Been showing poultry in 4 H for 8 years. I judge the cloverbuds on their showmanship also mom is poultry superintendent and I'm a junior superintendent. This is so they are fully feather ed so the judge can evaluate better and also so they are big enough for pollum testing.

For our fair, I believe two months is old enough, but it’s hardly worth it. They will still be peeping.
I would recommend showing birds that are at least four months old.
