Hi,
Just wondering if there is a certain age chicks need to be before separating them from Mom. I have 8 week old roosters that are still cheeping and hanging with their mom. Would if be alright to sell them now? Thanks

Usually the mama "kicks them out" somewhere between 4 and 8 weeks, everyone starts roosting, and she soon starts laying again.

I probably would if I had a buyer.

Usually, I wait until the mother hen starts to lay again. Then I know that she is done with them, but that is just me. I hope that helps.

Momma layed her first egg yesterday - is squawking up a storm today, working on the 2nd egg-lol Thanks for the advise, appreciate it.
