I have two baby goslings that are about 6 weeks old and have been with two Rhode Island Reds that are the same age. I have a big coop that they will be going in next when I think they will be ok, any suggestions on how old they should be? The Rhode Island Reds are still pretty small but the small coop is getting too small for the goslings. I also have a grown goose in with the other chicks.

Suggestions?

Get your goslings an adult goose together for meet and greet. Once your adult accepts the goslings let them be together. Both gander and goose love goslings so if you take it slow they should do fine together pretty quick. I’d do the same with the chicks I put a dog kennel In My coop when introducing young to mature in about a week they will be part of the flock. If you don’t let your chickens out to free range be sure there are hiding places for the chicks so they can get away from any bullies. Always supervise any new additions with established birds.
