How old do chicks have to be to be without heat?

Hi,
I just wanted to thank everyone for the responses to my post. I have moved them out to the coop and if it gets to cold at night I will bring them back inside. I live in Oregon and it is currently 65 degrees out and it is suppose to get to the low 50s high 40s out here, so if they appear to be cold I'll put them back in the bathroom and out in the morning. I've also put a 100w light bulb in their lamp just in case they might need it. Thanks again, Alex

If they have a warm coop, at 8 weeks old I would not bring them back inside even if its cold tonight. They are more than old enough and should be fully feathered. They will be just fine.

Thanks duckking. I guess I'll keep doing what I'm doing for now at least while they're still in their winter fenced area. Once I start letting them free range again maybe I'll try letting them all out where there's plenty of space to run and see what happens.
If anyone has any ideas about chicks with mama protectors, I'd love to hear from you!
