I have a roo and I am not sure if my eggs are fertile pretty old 5, 6 years maby

How old? Old enough that they're dead, probably!

But I think they'll be like most other creatures - just cause they can still do the deed doesn't necessarily mean that they'll be fertilising eggs any more...

You can check fertility by cracking open your eggs and looking on the surface of the yolks for little bullseyes.

usually roosters will get the job done till they die but the amount of sperm and amount of strong sperm decreases with age so u mite get fertile eggs but not like b4

A good rule of thumb to follow:

Always mate age to youth.

Thus, if you use an old cock make sure to pair him with a pullet or young hen; likewise, an old hen should be paired with a stag.
