We obtained a week old baby Frizz/Cochin this week...wondering how old it needs to be before kowing it is a Roo or not. We can't have Roo's here in my stealth chicken keeping area and I want to know asap to find it a good home. I have been told they feather out and color in quicker then norm sometimes to make sexing a bit easier?

How old is it now? Do you have any photos you can share? My three were a bit of a challenge to sex, but by approximately 10 weeks old, it was clear to me that they were hens.
All three of these were hens, but I would have bet that the black and white birds were on their way to revealing that they were male.

Oh your brids are beautiful! It's only about 2 weeks now. Iknow that is early. I will try and upload a pic anyway just because it's a cutie and maybe it will scream girl or boy at someone.

I am crossing fingers and toes for it to be a girl. My son wants to use these 2 for 4-h and we can not have Roo's. They are house chickens and are so spoiled already.
