How old is your oldest bird?

I have 2 game hens that are 6 years old

Miss Prissy, the darker one layed 2 eggs last week and one this week!

My WLH rooster Pinky and his "brother" Stinky the RIR are 1 month younger. I got my blue andalusian from my neighbor who said she stopped laying. She and my two black australorps have been with me for 4 years now.

I had a hen that was over 5 years old. She was all white..not sure what kind. She didnt lay eggs towards the end tho.

Mine are exactly 1 year old

I got some red-sex-link chicks as well as barred rocks
they are about 4 weeks old now

We have a rooster who is pretty old. Last summer he wandered down from the hills and joined our flock.

Zam, my RIR, is 8 years old this year. She's gotten very curmudgeonly in her old age, so she lives in her own retirement home (a doghouse inside a little run). Until last year she had a buddy with her, the same age, but she passed. When I first moved Zam out of the hen house, she was so happy she started laying a few eggs every week for me, but she hasn't laid any in the last year, unless she's eating them--and at her age, frankly, I figure she can do whatever she wants. She's had a bad eye and arthritis for a few years now, so we call her Limpy-Squinty.
