How old should a duck?

How old should a duck be b4 being put in a penn outside to live?

They need to be feathered before putting them outside, maybe 6 weeks to 2 months? Anyone else?

I put my ducks out at 3 weeks. We had some chilly nights (upper 30's) at first, and they were fine. Then again, there aree 10 of them to keep each other warm.

I'm a doting mother; I put mine out full time at 8 wks.

8-14 weeks I introduce them into the adult flock. They are big enough by then to defend themselves. I usually wait until about 12 weeks

I put my ducklings out in a "junior" coop and run at 2-3 weeks. They join the flock around 6-8 weeks, when they're feathered out enough that I don't worry about the pond, and are large enough that the grown ducks don't do them harm.
