How old should a young rooster be before integrating him into flock of mature hens?

I have a young blue orpington rooster (6wks) that I will be needing to find a home for in the near future. At what age can he be integrated into a flock of hens without getting eaten alive?:) Tips on integrating him that I can pass on would be appreciated also.
Thanks,
Juley

I agree with Fred's Hens. He'll need to be fully grown before he can be integrated.

The only way I know to do it is have him raised in the flock from a chick with a broody hen to protect him. Sorry.

Thanks for the help. For now he has momma to protect him from my other hens. I'll just keep him here until he starts making to much racket and take it from there.
Thanks again
J
