how old should chicks be before being completely integrated with the flock

hello i have 24 chicks about 2 weeks right now they are in their own coop with a run next to my older chickens Im wondering what the consensus is on what age they should be before i put them in the big coop and rum with the older chickens

It is better to wait until they are more or less the same size as the older chickens before integrating them, but if they are right next to them and the older ones can see them and get used to them you could do it sooner. But what until they are around 3 months old at least.

I always heard that you wanted to wait till they're the same size as the ones that you have now. I tried skipping that part at first but I learned that even the sweetest pullet turns aggressive when faced with a smaller bird.

I have noticed when one escapes into the big coop they don't hassel them to much i was thinkin at about 3 mo just putting them.in a bigger coop but attached tp.the same run tay way they would have their own spot to vo if the older birds did mess with them. ...

That's a good idea. I used to integrate my youngsters at around 3 months. We had a huge area for them to roam, so they could avoid the older ones if needed. And of course "mom" allowed them to come into the house so they can enjoy a few treats now and then without getting chased by the older ones..
