How old should chicks be before getting veggies?

I know that there are a lot of veggies and other things chickens can have but i have never dealt with chicks before, I believe mine are little over a week (forgot to ask), and i was just wondering when are they old enough to get things like that?

You can start giving them vegetables as treats after you offer them grit to help them digest it and ensure you are not giving too much (they need balanced nutrition, treats should make up no more than 10% of their food intake, which is not much for small chickens).
It may take a few tries to get them to trust each new item, cut it up into small pieces for them. Once they know what it is and enjoy it, you can hold it in your hand while they tear pieces off. Mine love doing that.

I start giving mine greens at about 3 weeks, after offering grit as mentioned. I like the put a kale or collard leaf in the brooder and watch them figure it out. ;)
