How old to lay eggs

New to the chick/duck raising. How old do the chickens have to be too lay eggs and will the one duck lay eggs too? Do you also need to clip wings to keep from flying?

Most of mine start at 7 months.

My ducks are Peking and campbells. They do not fly. So no need to clip and my duck was oh I think around 7 months as well. Welcome to the forum!

One of my chickens started laying at 5 months and the others at 6 months. They are red stars.
