I have white leghorns, barred rocks,RIRs,and jersey giants.I know the leghorns take 17 weeks, and just got my first eggs. Also saw where BRs take 20 to m24 wks.I was wondering about the RIRs and JGs.espesially the JGs since they are supposed to take longer to get fully mature.

My Jersey Giants are about 20 weeks old and are still not laying. They don't even act like they are ready, the roos aren't practicing mounting the hens nor the hen preping to lay. I figure probably I am looking at around 25 weeks or more for them to lay and the roos to get interested!
