How old were your brahmas when they started laying?

I have three eight months old brahmas. How old were your brahmas when they started laying

my dark brahma layed at 18 weeks old for 3 weeks and its been 1 month since she stopped!

All my hens are brahmas. The first to lay was 19 weeks old. The last two to lay were 9 1/2 months old. All hatchery stock.

Because they are serious when they say they are a late maturing breed. A brahma is not considered full grown until two years old.

Mine were over 6 months when they started laying. All of them. I have some new pullets that are 4 months old and I don't expect eggs til Thanksgiving!!!
